Team
parent meetings for the 2006 season will be as
follows:
Beginning
in the 2006 Season the South Hill Baseball and Softball
Club has instituted the requirment for a "Team
Parent' for each team. We
have identified one of the biggest challenges
facing the league is communication and coordination
and we felt too much of this
burden was falling on the coaches and board
volunteers.
In
the past at our coach's
meeting the coach was resposible for completing
the team roster, deciding on practice times
and fields, coaching clinics, field prep
days, team pictures, fund-raising and more.
Beginning
with the 2006 season the team parent will
be responsible for:
- Secondary
Team Contact for the League
- Encouraging
Parents to attend Field Prep Day
- Coordinating
team to attend SHBSC annual fund raiser
night - Sat 4/1/06
- Rainiers
and Other Fund Raising Distribution and
Tracking
- Snack
List Coordination
- After
game/practice field clean-up.
- Team
Photo Information Distribution.
- General
assistance to the coach with regards to
league issues.
Team
Parent can be a shared position!
